At Maitland Lutheran School we are blessed to have wonderful facilities that aide our teachers to nurture and develop the growing minds of our students.
In 2013 the Middle School and Tech Studies buildings were opened in conjunction with our school expansion to Year 9. The Middle School is equipped with four large classrooms, a collaborative learning area and a science laboratory, whilst the Tech Studies building boasts a range of clean technology resources as well as machines that allow woodwork and metalwork to be created. 2010 saw the opening of our full sized Gymnasium which also features; a stage, sound and lighting system. Adjacent to this building is our Music Room. Sewing and cooking is conducted as part of our Home-Economics program in the Multi-Purpose Room and on each Friday our 'P&F' cater lunch for our students. In each classroom students are able to connect wirelessly to the school network giving access to technology where needed. Primary classrooms contain Chromebook Laptops, computers and iPads with an additional technology suite and library able to serve whole classes. Since 2017 students in Years 6-9 all have their own personal Chromebook. An Administration and Junior Primary refurbishment was completed in 2017 which incorporated a new shared learning space for JP students. Play spaces are age appropriately built for students and support creative play during break times. A grassed oval is used daily for recess and lunch breaks as well as Physical Education lessons. Situated adjacent to our JP Playground is our school vegetable garden. In 2019 a Nature Play area was added offering another space for students to explore, play, create and imagine. 2021 saw a new Primary Building housing 5 classrooms, a dedicated music room, teacher prep space and large shared learning area. Completed for the 2023 school year was our Senior School Building for students in years 10-12. We are blessed to share a close connection with St Paul's Lutheran Church community, and as a result, appreciate access to the Church as our place of worship. |
